Recipe 1: Air Dry Dough
Materials:
Cornstarch
Craft Glue (you can use Elmer’s)
Baby Oil
1 tsp lotion
1 Tbsp Vinegar
Mixing bowl
Step 1. Mix 1 1/2 cups of cornstarch, 1 cup of glue, 1 tsp of lotion, and 1 tbsp of vinegar in a large bowl using a spoon or spatula.
Step 2. Add 1 tbsp of baby oil. Mix it thoroughly. At this point, you’ll notice that the mixture is still in a gooey state.
Step3. Add cornstarch gradually and use your hand to mix it. Sprinkle cornstarch on your flat surface and start kneading the dough. Add more cornstarch until you get the right consistency.
If it is too soft and sticky knead in more corn starch. If it is to dry add a drop of baby oil and glue. Keep kneading until you get a playdough-like consistency.
Recipe 2: Cloud Dough
Materials:
1 cup cornstarch
1 cup flour
1 cup conditioner
Food coloring (10-20 drops)
Step 1. Add cornstarch, flour, conditioner, and food coloring to a bowl. Stir until combined. Add more food coloring until the desired color is achieved.
Recipe 3: Salt Dough
Materials
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup salt
1 tsp alum (to make it last)
1 cup hot water
1/2 cup oil
Food coloring
Large bowl
Step 1. Combine the flour, salt, and alum in a large mixing bowl.
Step 2. Add oil and stir. Next, gradually add water while stirring and mixing to form a dough with a Play-Doh like consistency.
Step 3. Form the dough into a ball and knead for approximately 5-7 minutes, until the dough is smooth and firm. Additional water may be needed. Add a teaspoon of water at a time until the dough reaches the proper texture. If the dough is too sticky, add more flour by the teaspoon until it’s no longer tacky.
